Day 2: Montreux Jazz Festival and World Cup

Day One finished in a puddle in my room at the Suisse Majestic Hotel after an air conditioner compressor bit the dust. It wasn't the most elegant of evenings however I am learning about the uniqueness of the Montreux music scene and the diversity of the fans who passionately return.It's a very Swiss event. There are queues, velvet ropes and lots of unique layers that network the lot. I'm an outsider to the inner circle that I am learning is comprised of a combination of sage wisdom (Claude Nobs) and youthful energy (Alex Edelmann). It's a beautiful synergy. I will tell you tomorrow exactly why.
